The charm of Budoni in Saint-Tropez: the Aqua Lamine pool restyling by Bergamo Restauri Group

Saint-Tropez is synonymous with elegance, light, and relaxation. However, even in the most exclusive settings, structure maintenance can become a constant issue. This was the case for a splendid property where the swimming pool, originally lined with classic mosaic tiles, suffered from continuous water leaks and required frequent technical interventions.

The challenge for Bergamo Restauri Group was twofold: to permanently resolve the structural criticalities and to transform the pool’s aesthetics following a very specific chromatic wish from the client.

Goodbye to mosaic: why we chose Aqua Lamine

The main problem with mosaic-lined pools lies in the joints and the potential detachment of tiles. Over time, these micro-cracks cause seepage and leaks that are difficult to locate.

To guarantee perfect and long-lasting waterproofing, we proceeded with a radical intervention using Aqua Laminetechnology:

  1. Total removal: we removed every single tile of the old mosaic.
  2. Structural consolidation: the pool surface was prepared and consolidated to eliminate any pre-existing porosity or cracks.
  3. Aqua Lamine coating: we applied the Aqua Lamine system, a high-quality resin-based material that creates a continuous, elastic, and totally waterproof surface.

The main advantage? Maintenance is practically reduced to zero. Thanks to the nature of Aqua Lamine, there are no joints where dirt can accumulate or leaks can form, ensuring superior hygiene and total durability over time.

A Sardinian dream on the French Riviera: the “Budoni pink” color

The aesthetics of this project were born from a special memory: the owner, in love with the famous Budoni beach in Sardinia, wanted to recreate that specific shade of golden sand with pinkish reflections for her pool in Saint-Tropez.

This is how the Budoni pink pool was born.

Thanks to the chromatic versatility of Aqua Lamine, we were able to sample and faithfully reproduce this tone. The result is surprising: the water takes on a crystalline and warm transparency that harmonizes perfectly with the Mediterranean setting of the surrounding garden, creating a natural effect that classic mosaic could never have offered.

The advantages of our Aqua Lamine solution

Choosing an Aqua Lamine coating for your pool means investing in:

  • Definitive waterproofing: goodbye to water leaks thanks to the continuous membrane.
  • Custom design: the possibility to personalize the color (like our “Budoni pink”) for a unique and natural effect.
  • Comfort to the touch: a smooth and velvety surface, extremely pleasant to the skin.
  • Extreme resistance: maximum resistance to UV rays, chlorine, and cleaning chemicals.

With this intervention in Saint-Tropez, we have demonstrated that Aqua Lamine technology is the winning choice for those seeking technical reliability without sacrificing exceptional aesthetics.
